UTILITY SYSTEMS OPERATOR

You will perform chlorination disinfection on new and repaired water systems. You will monitor the status of the distribution systems through checking pressures, chemical feeds, tank levels, and water quality indicators by referencing measuing systems, and making adjustments as required. You will respond to and investigate customer complaints about their water and discusses water quality with the customer. You will load and unload chemicals such as bulk liquids, powered chemicals, and bagged chemicals, either by hand or by using material handling equipment, such as forklifts, and hoists. You will make schedule checks of pumping equipment, gauges, meters, electrical and gasoline motors, pumps, feeders, and recoding and control devices. You will check, maintain, and make minor repairs to chlorination equipment.
