Job Description
The Information System Security Office Branch, AIS-210 provides services related to monitoring and tracking vulnerabilities within the FAA's Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) reportable systems. AIS-210 ensures Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) are entered into the Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM) system. In addition, 08/01/2020 IT 1100.171A 8-5 monitors and tracks the POA&Ms, provides support to stakeholders on remediation/mitigations, the quarterly review of open POA&Ms with System Owners and processes and coordinates Memorandum of Agreement/Memorandum of understanding, coordinates vulnerability scanning, monitors/tracks security incidents, monitoring and tracking binding operational directives, and responds to audits related to POA&Ms. As the Information System Security Office Branch Manage in the AIT Information Security & Privacy Service (IS&P), you will report to the Division Manager of the Mission Advisory Services Division and direct the work of subordinate employees within the Information System Security Office Branch. Work usually includes routine project/program tasks based on established policies, procedures, and guidelines. You will perform managerial duties such as setting priorities; assigning tasks; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave; and taking or recommending corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate. You will use assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives. You will manage the budget and requests additional resources, as needed. You will also contribute to budget planning processes and project future needs. You will apply comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed, detailed knowledge of budget, human resources, and other administrative policies and procedures, and a detailed understanding of the objectives of the organizational unit. You will monitor the contractor's progress in fulfilling the technical requirements specified in contract in accordance with the delivery schedule, submit Purchase Requests, justifications, and optional year documentation, approve invoices and perform final inspection and acceptance of work products. In addition, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the following. connecting stakeholders with appropriate security SMEs, support documentation services related to preparation for the annual security assessment, information flow, remediation activities, Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), interconnectivity Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs/Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) and Information Security Agreement (ISAs), Coordinating with LOBs/SOs regarding the tracking of and follow-up remediation related to data calls, cyber hygiene , SOC tickets, and High Value Assets (HVAs).
