Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional As a member of the Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Clinical Team (PCT), also known as the Trauma Recovery Outpatient Program (TROP), the Psychologist's primary responsibility is to implement treatment and service coordination for individuals diagnosed with PTSD. The client population ranges from veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan though those who served during WWII. The sex distribution is generally male, but there are increasing numbers of female veterans in the younger cohort. Across these veteran populations, the PCT Psychologist will, in collaboration with the PCT, tailor patient care and support services to meet the needs of individuals, taking into account their cultural, ethnic, sex and age-related characteristics. He/she will provide clinical services appropriate to the complexity of the problem and coordinate additional services for the veteran when necessary (e.g., referrals for in-patient, chemical dependency, etc.).
