The ideal candidate is passionate about process improvement and excited to leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to help build a more efficient and scalable accounting function. Responsibilities • Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations • Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Ensure compliance with GAAP • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate the month-end close process. • Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit • Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented • Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned • Assist accounting leadership as needed 90 Day Plan Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following: • Take ownership of preparing financial statement areas assigned to you (potential areas may include revenue, cost of goods sold, inventory, administrative fees, and others) • Identify at least one
