Summary You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH OFFICE of NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION CHINA LAKE. Duties • You will investigate workplaces, facilities, and operation mishaps by obtaining statements from witnesses or taking photographs of mishap scene. • You will perform risk assessments of hazardous processes and working conditions to determine hazard control techniques that minimize or eliminate unsafe and unhealthful operations. • You will schedule safety inspections, surveys, and evaluations for risk assessment to comply with regulations and program requirements. • You will draft reports on mishap investigations resulting in damage to property, equipment, or occupational illness to personnel explaining identifies causes and preventative actions. • You will discuss accident prevention measures to address deficiencies and enforce safety rules.
