Job Description

This vacancy announcement will be open from May 14, 2026 to May 20, 2026 or when 25 applications have been received. The vacancy will close on whichever day the first of these conditions are met. If the application limit is reached on the same day the announcement opened, the open and close date will be the same. Candidates are encouraged to read the entire announcement before submitting their application packages. Research on details of Central African leaders and their closest advisors to assist with negotiations and/or transition policy planning. The intern will use current biographic information (unclassified) and open source materials to develop a relationship map or relationship intelligence profile. The summary would track potential leadership transitions and map relationships to identify who can reach a target decision-maker. The intern would then brief the Office Director and staff in addition to designing a visual product. This tool is crucial to building trust, creating rapport and identifying personal avenues for influence. There will also be opportunities to meet with interlocutors, build notetaking skills and learn more about federal service.
