Radiologist- Hampton (Remote)

This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 30, 2026 or until all positions are filled. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be 30 March 20226, with subsequent cut-off dates every two weeks. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred to at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Major Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, including: Plain Radiographs (Xray) Computed Tomography (CT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Ultrasound (US) Nuclear Medicine (if applicable) Mammography (if applicable and credentialed) Performing image-guided procedures such as: CT/US guided Biopsies Drainage procedures Join injections/aspirations Fluoroscopy exams (e.g., barium swallow, upper GI) Documenting and communicating diagnostic results via radiology reports in a timely manner, Assist providers in performance of specialized examinations when requested. Consults with referring physicians regarding the appropriateness and interpretation of radiologic studies Adheres to VA policies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance, safety, infection control, and radiologic protocol standards Utilizes PACS and voice recognition software to produce timely and accurate reports Participates in Quality Management activities such as film quality, clerical checks, peer review and other activities as required. Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols Participates in call rotation on evening, weekends, shift telework rotation and holidays. Maintains licensure and continuing medical education in compliance with VA requirements. Other duties as assigned.
