In this role, you’ll handle a variety of clerical duties related to outpatient testing, emergency, and hospital admissions, including verifying insurance and securing pre-authorizations. You’ll contribute to the smooth functioning of the admissions process while ensuring patients receive timely and respectful service. Key Responsibilities • Perform clerical tasks for outpatient, ER, and hospital admissions • Register patients and assist with pre-admission processes • Obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed • Notify insurance providers of patient admissions • Support department managers with assigned tasks • Provide backup for hospital telephone operator and emergency call system Collaborative Teamwork This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment. Qualifications • High school graduate or equivalent preferred • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English • Knowledge of clerical skills and Windows-based PC software • Must maintain 95%+ accuracy on monthly audits after 3 months • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and courteous behavior • Works cooperatively with team members and across departments • Willing to learn and operate hospital telephone system, including emergency code
