Job Description

You will consult with research engineers and scientists to review preliminary design concepts and evaluate the manufacturing feasibility of experimental weapons systems. You will determine optimal fabrication methods and select specialized materials (such as high-temperature alloys, ceramics, and composites) to withstand extreme thermal, pressure, and operational stress environments. You will coordinate project workflows across multiple trade disciplines (including precision machining, welding, sheet metal, and composites) to ensure multipart prototype hardware is delivered on schedule. You will fabricate, fit, assemble, and bench-test complex developmental components and one-of-a-kind experimental assemblies to resolve functional and mechanical issues. You will perform precision layout and final quality inspection using advanced metrology equipment (such as CMMs, optical comparators, and laser trackers) to verify strict compliance with critical aerospace tolerances.
