The starting pay for the successful candidate will start at step 1) Job Summary The Meat Clerk is accountable for delivering G.O.A.T. (Greet, Observe, Assist, Thank) service to our customers. The Meat Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with meat selections, answering questions, and ensuring products are fresh, well-stocked, and properly displayed. This role supports daily department operations, including cutting, trimming, packaging, and labeling meat products while following food safety and sanitation standards. The Meat Clerk also assists with inventory management, maintains a clean and organized work area, and contributes to a positive shopping experience through friendly and efficient service. Job Responsibilities • Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T) • Assist the customer with purchases of products and other services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, etc. • Wrap, weigh, trim, price, and adjust pricing for all meat department products in compliance with company policies, food safety standards, customer protection laws, and weights and measures regulations. • Maintains the proper supply of products in the cases and packaged deli through proper rotation and display of product per company standards and schematics • Responsible for cleaning up of wrapping, scaling
