Director, Technical Operations - Eastern Service Area

The Director, Technical Operations, Eastern Service Area (ESA), provides advice, guidance, and oversight to the ESA Leadership Teams regarding the management of air navigation services and infrastructure services and is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and modification of all infrastructure systems and equipment in the National Airspace System (NAS). Principal Responsibilities Oversees the development of programs and standards associated with technical operations services within the ESA to include the delivery of maintenance services, construction services, communication services, assets and policies, financial management, performance metrics, National Defense Program assets, and overall navigation services, including procurement, charting procedures, and flight inspection in support of the NAS. Implements national policies, procedures, and practices associated with technical operations services within the ESA. Directs the installation, maintenance, and restoration of all systems and equipment in the NAS within the assigned ESA. Allocates resources, staffing, and programs to support the mission, improve service value, and achieve performance targets. Exercises delegated authority to make commitments on behalf of Technical Operations Services and represents the Federal Aviation Administration in meetings and forums.
