Provides a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders and behavioral health conditions. 2. Provides education to patients, family members and significant others. 3. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family and group psychotherapy 4. Provides consultation to professional staff within VAMC, and to community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients. 5. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. 6. Functions independently as a member of the VAMC Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges. Assumes complete professional responsibility for his/her clinical. 7. Incumbent will be a part of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) team. The PCMHI psychologist works collaboratively within PACT to promote prevention, early identification, and treatment of most mild to moderate behavioral health and health behavior concerns as part of routine primary care. PCMHI visits are brief (generally, 30 minutes or less), limited in number (1-6 visits). Administrative Responsibilities 1. Assists the Service Line Director or Program Director in the design, development and implementation of clinical programs for a team of treatment providers. 2. Adheres to operational policies and procedures for the treatment team, established by the Service Line Director 3. Assist Service Line Manager, program director or coordinator in the execution of ongoing program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects to monitor the effectiveness of the clinical program 4. Facilitates liaisons with other health care programs in order to effectively coordinate services. 5. Complies with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders for all patients. 6. Complies with all CPRS documentation procedures, including timeliness standards for documentation and proper patients check out procedures (e.g., entering diagnostic and procedure codes). 7. Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings held by the Service Line Director (or designee) and facility Director. 8. Attends regular Mental Health Service Line staff meetings, Medical Staff meetings and complies with Mental Health Service peer review procedures. Virtual: This position is eligible for remote work (i.e., the employee will not work at a VA facility or VA-leased space) and is currently operating under an extension of the Return-to-Office (RTO) mandate.
